The August week is August 8 to 15th, either the Newport Jazz or Folk
Festival (the decision is not out yet as to which). That is a two
bedroom, sleeps six: king bed and Jacuzzi bath in master bedroom;
queen sofa bed, kitchen, dining area, plus main bath, and two twins in
the loft bedroom, surrounded by windows overlooking the Bay. The patio
spans the entire unit, with views of Jamestown across Narragansett
Bay, the sailboats and phenomenal sunsets, all with sweeping lawn
between you and the water. The October week is the 17 through the
24th; I refer to it as foliage time. It is a smaller condo, one
bedroom, with queen bed and Jacuzzi bath, living area has queen sofa
bed, kitchen, patio overlooking the Bay

Condos were completely renovated just last year (as in, between spring
and summer). Both have flat screen TV. The resort has tennis courts,
indoor pool, outdoor bar and grill and restaurant attached to the
Oceancliff mansion. Oceancliff is on Ocean Drive, Newport, a few miles
from down town. So you can get to it quickly for the bustle and yet be
in the more serene atmostphere when you relax and sleep. There is open
ocean around the bend, where scuba diving and beaching is good in both
summer and early fall.

You can sit at the bar outside and look out at sailboats coming out of
the famous harbor around the bend. Oceancliff has 22 acres of rolling
grass overlooking the Bay.

Oceancliff is where the press used to come to shoot the America's Cup 
boats entering the ocean, when the race was held in the States. You
can sit on the Adirondack chairs, with Jamestown and the Newport
Bridge in view across the Bay, and watch sailboats and the sunsets
across the water. Ft. Adams is a one mile walk or quick drive up, as
is Breton State Park, all on the famous Ocean Drive. Around the
"corner" is the open Atlantic Ocean. Several beaches dot the coast,
and for scuba divers, tropical fish are in in October. There is great
 bike riding along the ocean and the Bay, looking at the famous
mansions, and taking in the Newport air. Newport has loads of antique
shops, wonderful restaurants, the Cliff Walk, casino, and of course
that fantastic harbor.

Weekend (Friday, Saturday nights): $440 per night in August, $185 in
autumn.
Weekdays Sunday through Thursday nights: $290 per night in August and
$135 in autumn.
Special rate for the entire week: $1900 August; $845 in autumn.

Non-refundable deposit of half rental immediately, and remainder to be
arranged.
