This original Fredericksburg style bungalow was built in the 1920's 
by a well known local Fredericksburg carpenter who built the home as 
a wedding gift for his bride. It is a true arts and crafts style 
cottage with lots of interesting history. Located 4 blocks from the 
historic downtown Main Stree shops and restaurants this Bed and 
breakfast has been used as an inspiring writer's retreat for the 
owners and a tranquil respit for many travelers wanting to experience 
the incredible shopping and remarkable dining our charming town has 
to offer. Relax in the master suite with a king size bed and jetted 
tub big enough for two. There is also a sitting room directly off of 
the master suite with a fireplace. The two bedrooms in the front of 
the house share a bathroom with a clawfoot tub and shower. You can 
easily rent the master suite just for two or the entire bed and 
breakfast for a gathering with your family and friends. There is an 
eat in kitchen as well as a formal dining room. Off of the dining 
room there is a 400 sq foot indoor/outdoor room with a wine bar and 
seating for relaxing after a long day of shopping, touring wineries, 
cycling, hiking or just exploring the historic town. We invite you to

like you've never slept before in this peaceful setting and wake up

Fredericksburg, Texas is located high in the Texas Hill Country 45 
minutes from either Austin or San Antonio. There are many wineries in 
the area for touring and tasting as well as many gorgeous state parks 
for hiking and bird watching, cycling, fun festivals, great shopping, 
and amazing dining. Visit our link for more historical information on

Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce for upcoming monthly events.

Sunday through Thursday nights the nightly charge is $135 for double 
occupancy.  For Friday and Saturday nights the nightly charge is $145 
for double occupancy.  We charge a flat $30 fee per person per night 
for each guest in addition to the first two guests.  So for example 
if 6 guests were staying the weeknight rate would be the base rate of 
$135 plus $120 (4 additional guests x $30) for a total per night 
charge of $255 for all 6 guests. For the weekend nights of Friday and 
Saturday it would be a total nightly charge of $265 for all 6 
guests.  We require the first night's deposit to confirm your dates.  
The deposit is refundable only if we are able to re-book the dates 
you set aside.

We would entertain the idea of a Home Exchange for a house on the 
coast of Florida or Texas or at a ski resort in Colorado.  We have 
never done this before and it sounds interesting.  The exchange would 
not need to be simultaneous.  We have a family of four with small 
children and no pets.
