Two clean and comfortable charming cabins nestled on 6+ acres and 1
mile off Hwy 64/74A. Only 5 minutes from Lake Lure, Preston's Thicket
Vacation Cabins offer a variety of amenities you won't find in
hotels. We are pet
friendly, non-smoking, richly decorated in antiques and home decor
and comfortable and clean. We offer a beautifully landscaped garden
and gazebo that light up at night and is perfect for outdoor
entertaining. Wooden steps lead you down to the pond where you can
stand on our wooden bridge and feed the fish and ducks. Inside, our
kitchen has any appliance you'll need as well as basic staples in our
pantry! We keep golf clubs and fishing gear in case you forget yours
and we even supply laundry and dish detergent if you need it. For
the nature enthusiast, we have plenty of deer, turkey, ducks and fish
you can feed (we supply the food at no charge!). We encourage you to
hike, bike and explore the grounds, but if you'd rather relax inside,
we offer satellite tv, DVD, wi-fi, music and book library. The large
screened in porch has several tables and chairs and rocking chairs
for you to pick your favorite view of the pond, waterfall and fenced
in pasture. If you don't need a large cabin, our second cottage is
the "Cowboy Cottage" and can be rented in addition to the Main Cabin,
or rented by itself. The Cowboy Cottage is decorated in vintage
western decor and has 2 adjoining stalls if you are bringing horses.
We also have a turnout pasture at no charge so you can go sightseeing
without the horsetrailer! The Cowboy Cottage offers sleeping
accomodations for 2, eat-in kitchen that is fully equipped, shower
bathroom, wi-fi, satellite tv, deck, and outdoor stone firepit with
plenty of seating. Stables are 10x12 with water, electricity and hay
bedding.
