Traditional villa “Kritiko Arhontiko” is situated in a small road of
Aspro Village. It is an ideal destination for rest and relaxation with
the marvelous view of Lefka Oroi Mountain.
 
“Kritiko Arhontiko” is one of the oldest houses of the area. It was
the residence of the Turkish chief (Passa) of the territory and it had
been built before 1840. The renovation was made with great respect to
the old architecture.

  Aspro village is in Chania prefecture at the area of Apokorona. It’s
also known with the name of Koprana. It’s situated on the hill between
Almyrida and Gavalohori and is one of the oldest villages of Crete.
The great and rare beauty of the village is based on its architecture.
  The village is full of old gorgeous houses made of stone with gates
made of stone as well. The village is full of beautiful trees and
plants such us: oaks, sages and various aromatic plants.

 

In “Kritiko Arhontiko” we offer you all the comforts you need to enjoy
carefree and pleasant vacation. The kitchen contains a two doors
refrigerator, electric kitchen, dish machine, coffee machine etc for
making breakfast and meals. If you like traditional way of cooking you
can use the oven with woods or barbeque, which are in the big yard of
the house.
 The entire house is air-conditioned (cold-heat). If you choose
“Kritiko Arhontiko” for your winter holidays you can use the fireplace
for creating warm and romantic atmosphere. We offer you the woods.
“Kritiko Arhontiko” has two bathrooms one inside and the other outside
the house. It has a laundry machine, a steam iron and a hair drier. 

   If you wish to spend some time inside the house you can watch TV
(local and satellite channels) or see a movie on DVD or listen to
music (radio or cd). 
   In the big yard of the house you can enjoy the private swimming
pool with the view to Lefka Oroi in where you can enjoy unlimited time
of relaxation. Beside the yard there is parking for your car.

   As a sample of the traditional Cretan hospitality we offer, as a
goodbye gift, a bottle of Cretan drink called tsikoudia and a vase
with Cretan honey.
 

   "Kritiko Arhontiko" can entertain 4-8 individuals. The date of its
manufacture is a little before 1840. With high attention, care and
respect in the authentic architecture of the house, we proceed in the
restoration and the renovation of the house.
As we enter the house from the central entrance we find the main space
in which the old stone arch characteristic sample of the Cretan
architecture dominates. 
 
    In the main space there is the reception, the living room with the
television, a second living room in front of the fireplace and the
dining room. We selected all the furniture very carefully so they are
as close as it can to the original furnishing of the house.

   In the right of the main space, our completely equipped cooker is
found. In the cooker there is also one big table that you can use,
alternative from the dining room for breakfast or dinner. Near the
main space is also the toilet. Hot water exists continuously and for
this we have a solar heater.
One of the most impressive elements in "Kritiko Arhontiko" are the
bedrooms, which are found in different levels from the single space. 
   Concretely exist three bedrooms in two upper spaces of the house
and two meet going down two stairs from the main space. The beds are
either from stone (traditional Cretan bed) or wooden with traditional
style. In the bedrooms you can find all the essentials for your
service as wardrobes or hangers, bedside tables etc.
If you have a child please inform us in order to attend for children's
bed and children's chairs in your disposal. Children under five years
old are free of charge.
