furnished 2-bed oceanfront cottage with all of the amenities to make 
you comfortable. Home location is a few blocks over the Russell 
Island bridge that connects to Spanish Wells on the northern part of 
Eleuthera, Bahamas.  From the front porch, view the spectacular 
sunsets, watch the boats sail by, or bird-watch.  Rent a golf cart 
and explore the Spanish Wells area.  Restaurants, grocery stores, 
souvenir stores, and marina nearby. Wonderful water activities: 
kayaking, boating, fishing, snorkeling, diving, swimming. Plan a day 
trip to nearby Harbour Island. 

Transportation, How to Arrive:  The closest airport to Spanish Wells 
is the North Eleuthera Airport (ELH), in Eleuthera, Bahamas. From 
the airport, it is about a 10 minute ground taxi ride to get to the 
Gene's Bay dock, where you will board a 5-minute ferry to Spanish 
Wells. Inquire about the local service that combines the ground taxi 
and ferry rate to make your trip easier. Two to Four-Seater Golf 
Carts can be rented for your stay at the Pink Hibiscus, which is 
recommended to get around the island for groceries, restaurants, 
sight-seeing, etc.
 
The Town of Spanish Wells:  Spanish Wells is about a 1 x 3 mile 
island off the northern coast of Eleuthera. The population is about 
1800 inhabitants, and the local Bahamians have become prosperous 
here with their lobster fishing. The homes in this village are 
quaint and colorfully painted. The town combines modern conveniences 
with local island charm. There are three grocery stores, about four 
restaurants, a few souvenir shops, a nice marina, and a museum. In 
the Food Fair Plaza, there is a bank and internet access shop. The 
town has a friendly atmosphere, and many of the locals wave to 
tourists as they pass by on their golf carts. 

Russell Island near Spanish Wells:  Russell Island is about a 4 x 2 
mile wide island that connects to the town of Spanish Wells by a 
small bridge. This area is a little quieter and less crowded than 
the hustle of the Spanish Wells town. As most of Spanish Wells is 
already built up, the younger Bahamian generation and foreigners 
tend to purchase property in Russell Island. Russell Island has many 
fruit and palm trees. You may pass a goat farm on your way to the 
house. From the Pink Hibiscus Cottage, you have direct ocean access, 
and you get beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Games, snorkel gear, noodles, one two-person kayak, two adult 
bicycles, kitchen appliances, dishwasher, washer/dryer, dishes, pots 
& pans, bathroom towels, beach towels, a/c, satellite tv.

Ocean water sports:  kayaking, boating, fishing, swimming, diving, 
snorkeling.
Take a day trip to Harbour Island or Eleuthera mainland.
Tour around Spanish Wells in your rented golf cart and see the 
beautiful brightly painted Caribbean homes.
Try the local restaurants or local souvenir shopping.
Check out the Spanish Wells museum.

$1350 standard weeks, except premium holiday weeks of Christmas, New 
Years, Thanksgiving and Easter are $1500 per week.
$300 security deposit is refundable upon departure if there is no 
damage.
Cancellation policy:  If you cancel within 60 days of your scheduled 
stay, then there is a $300 penalty fee if we are not able to re-rent 
the same timeframe.
