You will be staying at an older two-story
home, located in Spanishburg West Virginia,
only 20 minutes from Winterplace Ski Resort
where you will be able to enjoy some of West
Virginia's finest skiing. Pipestem State Park is
only 30 minutes away, 24.8 miles. Golfing,
Swimming, Horseback Riding, and bicycling are
some of the attractions you will find there.
Trams are available for a ride down the
mountain. Camp Creek State Park is also very
close at 3.9 miles. There are a number of
activities to check out there, Including a large
natural waterfall. If you are interested in flying to
our beautiful state the Raleigh County airport is
just 30 minutes away. White water rafting trips
are available during season down the New and
Gauley Rivers. These are just some of the
attractions located within 50 miles of our rental
property.
The rental house is located on 37 acres of
beautiful land. A short hike on our walking trail
through the woods will lead you to the
Bluestone river where you are free to fish or
camp. Musky, Bluegill, Bass, and Catfish are
some of the fish you are likely to catch there. If
your not up to a hike through the woods there is
a 3/4 acre pond on the property, Bluegill and
Bass are plentiful but we ask that you please
throw them back so everyone can enjoy. There
is also a two person paddle boat available in the
spring and summer months if you would rather
take a ride. We do allow hunting (in Season) on
the property if you are our guest. Deer are
plentiful along with turkey, squirrel and rabbits.
No hunting license is required during season as
long as you are our guest. No fishing license is
needed to fish in our private pond but you will
need a West Virginia Fishing license to fish in
the Bluestone River.
No smoking is allowed in the house, but you
may use the provided ashtrays on the porches
while watching the deer graze in the fields.
Small pets are very welcome but you are
responsible for any damage they may cause.
We have an attached laundry room for our
quests convenience, and cable TV with
DVD/VCR with a large selection of tapes and
disks.
There is a gas and convenience store located
only 5 minutes away and full service only 20
minutes away in Princeton.
Come stay with us and enjoy country living at
its best. You'll never want to go home.
This home is great for outdoor
weddings,receptions, reunions and large family
weekend outings.
