Set in the beautiful rolling foothills of the Pyrénees Mountains, 
Maison Tristouits  was originally built as a farm cottage circa 
1650. It has been sympathetically renovated and includes modern 
conveniences and outdoor pool. 
The cottage is semi detached to a barn in which we live. You have 
your own entrance and garden area and full access to the pool at all 
times. We are available for help or advice but you won't see us 
unless you wish to!

Imagine summer BBQs watching the sun go down with a glass of local 
Jurancon wine and a swim under the Milky Way. 

The ground floor is open plan with a fully equipped modern kitchen - 
dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge- freezer, gas hob and 
oven. The cosy living area is dominated by a large open hearth with 
a cast iron wood burner. UK satellite TV DVD and CD/cassette player 
are available.Wireless internet access can be arranged. Upstairs is 
the bathroom with bath with shower attachment, and two bedrooms, one 
double and one twin bedded. A cot and highchair are available. Gas 
central heating and wood burner if needed. Linen and towels are 
provided.  

Set in garden of one acre, terrace, barbecue, parking, 4 garden 
chairs, 2 beach chairs, badminton, table tennis and boules 
facilities are available

Located in a rural setting in the foothills of the Pyrenean 
mountains between the historic, cultural city of Pau and the local 
market town of Oloron Ste. Marie, there is a never ending range of 
activities to entertain you and your family at all times of the 
year. Spain is not far away, beaches, inland lakes and local rivers 
provide many secluded spots for swimming and picnics. Walking, 
climbing, horse riding, white water rafting, canoeing, fishing, 
skiing, golf, caves and magnificent opportunities for watching 
eagles, vultures and red kites. The Pyrenean National Park offers 
unspoilt mountain scenery with wondrous fauna and flora. There are 
sophisticated restaurants in and Pau, and local Auberges in every 
village offering traditional fare. Spring offers wonderful mountain 
flowers, summer, warm nights of BBQs and swimming, autumn shows 
amazing colors and light quality and in winter there is of course 
skiing and cosy nights around the wood burning stove.
