 Description

Enjoy a relaxing vacation at our 3 bedroom cottage, where you can truly "get away from it all" but still be close to Tobermory's beautiful beaches, glass bottom boat tours, restaurants, shopping, etc. Also close to Cyprus Lake & Singing Sands Provincial Parks, the Bruce Trail and the Visitors' Centre. The eat-in kitchen has been recently renovated with new cupboards, breakfast bar, countertop, ceramic flooring and appliances, including a built-in dishwasher. The dining room has a stereo system and seats 6 in front of the Napoleon woodstove against an exposed brick wall. The living room is a recent renovation with vaulted ceilings and a walk-out to a soothing HOTTUB deck. There is a 32" flatscreen satellite TV above the electric fireplace, with DVD & VCR. The floors are mainly wood laminate, with ceramic in the kitchen and entryway, which also serves as a quiet sitting area. 2 bedrooms have queen beds. The third bedroom has a double/single bunk bed. The bathroom has a tub, shower, sink and toilet. The sliding patio door from the kitchen leads to the BBQ deck with a patio furniture, water fountain and a lovely view of Lake Huron. Enjoy morning coffee surrounded by beautiful pink roses!

 Amenities

At the end of your stay, our housekeeper arrives to clean the cottage and test/shock the hot tub water. Other than wiping out the fridge and any mess you may leave in the oven, you just "pack and go"! If you have brought your dog along, please be sure to clean up after them in the yard and take your garbage to the dump. Our cottage comes equipped with dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, water cooler, coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, plastic bowls, etc. We start the season off with a bottle of water, dishwasher soap, liquid/bar soap for the bathroom, toilet paper, garbage bags, etc. We expect people to replace what they use so the next family does not get "left in the lurch". The large deck has patio furniture, a BBQ and a HOT TUB. The large lawn has a good area to run around and play with a swing set/slide for the kids, a firepit for toasting marshmallows/hotdogs, lawn swing to curl up with a good book or to enjoy the view of Lake Huron. The property is very peaceful and private as we own the wooded lot next door, so there is only one other neighbouring cottage more than 70' away. The cottage has satellite TV, DVD player, movies, stereo, a second TV in the "kids' room" with a PS1.

 Attractions

There is lots to see and do in the Tobermory area. Cyprus Lake and Singing Sands Provincial Parks are close by offering hiking, swimming, and sight-seeing. Fathom Five Provincial Park has a number of shipwrecks which can be viewed during one of the glass bottom boat tours offered in Tobermory. There are the Flowerpot and Manitoulin Islands to explore. Hike the Bruce Trail. Experience the new Visitor's Center with an observation tower offering an amazing view of the area. Take a ride on the Chi-cheemaun ferry over to Manitoulin Island, and try their sunset dinner cruise. Enjoy some local whitefish at one of the many restaurants in the area. Visit the art gallery. Charter a fishing boat or take scuba diving lessons. The list goes on....
