of restaurants if you so desire. Orlando/Disney is  just over an 
hour north.  Downtown Lake Placid, known as the ‘town of 
murals’ has a quaint feeling to it with many shops, 
antique stores and  beautiful historic murals painted on 
almost every building. There are 27 fresh water lakes 
tucked within the rolling hills of Lake Placid. From the 
serenity of tiny Lake Hill to Lake Istokpoga a 27000 acre 
premier fishing and wildlife lake. There is also a golf course in 
the town of Lkae Placid.
