Keswick lies in the heart of Wordsworth lake district,nestling on
the shores of Derwentwater ,where Beatrix Potter was filmed,and at
the head of Borrowdale,reputed to be Britains most beautiful valley.
It is dominated by the great mountain ranges,notably Skiddaw which
can be climbed within walking from the house,amongst many
others.Sailing,canoeing,windsurfing,horseriding,golf, rockclimbing
and walking the fells and valleys are all within the immediate
vicinity,as is the Keswick Stone Circle.The new Keswick theatre has
productions throughout the year. The cinema is retro.original and
there is a wealth of inns dating back centuries .
