Description

Our apartment is located at the west end of the island of Curacao,
just 35 miles north of Venezeula, well out of the hurrucane belt.
The temperature is a constant 83 to 88 degrees with a cooling sea
breeze. The dive sites at this end of the island are among those
ranked top in the Caribbean with a healthy reef and excellent
visability. We are within a 5 minute walk to 3 beaches; Kalki,
Grandi/Piskado, Forti and a dive shop. There are a dozen picture
perfect beaches within a 20 minute drive; Porto Marie, Cas Abou,
Lagun, Jeremi and Knip as is Christoffel National Park, Landhuis
Acension, Hofi Pastor and Boca Tabla. There are no traffic lights
here as the only traffic you may encounter would be the occasional
goat or donkey crossing the road. The sky and stars seem endless.
Quite often we are treated to light shows from lightning on the
coast of Venezeula.If you want to get away from it all, Westpunt is
beckoning you.

We have recently moved here from New Hampshire in the states. As a
result the apartment is furnished and decorated with far more than
the average vaction rental. It has air conditioning in the bedrooms
and hot water in the shower. There is a kitchenette with a variety
of acessories. You will have a TV with cable connection, a DVD
player, VCR and wireless internet connection. We have dive lockers ,
a rinse tank, kayaks and mountain bikes but best of all we have
knowledge of the island to help you plan your vacation and will even
accompany you on any hikes, bike rides or dives if you need a guide.

Attractions |
|
This end of the island is for the active traveler. You can dive or
snorkel, bike, hike or just laze around on a beach. The city of
Willemstad is only a 40 minute drive away. Here you will find caves
to explore, can swim with the dolphins or sting rays, golf, go for
an ATV or an ostrich ride, visit an aloe farm, the sea aquarium, a
variety of museums, the oldest synagogue still in use in the
Caribbean and walk across the Emma Floating bridge to shop until you
drop. There is something for everyone on Curacao; come discover its
wonders for yourself.
