The Swingin' Treehouse is perched on a wooded hillside, providing 
privacy and excellent opportunities for birdwatching and wildlife 
observations.  

Two Masters make this cottage perfect for traveling friends.  The 
downstairs Master features a king-size bed, a private balcony 
overlooking the creek below, and a private bathroom.  

The upstairs Master features a queen-size bed, a large picture 
window overlooking the creek, and an antique vanity.  The upstairs 
Master is steps away from the full size bathroom.  This bath was 
recently remodeled by Etsy Designer Karen Radtke and features a 
jacuzzi garden tub - perfect for soaking all your troubles away!  

A delightful sunroom provides 180 degrees of a tree-top view.  Bring 
your binoculars to enjoy closeups of various birds, butterflies, 
deer and other wildlife that frequent the spring-fed pool below the 
house.  The sunroom has a queen-size pull-out sofa bed with a very 
comfortable Stearns and Foster mattress. 

The sunny living area is just off the cozy and fully stocked 
kitchen.  The living area has a comfortable, European futon which 
converts to a queen-size bed.

Linens, towels, dishes, utensils, pots and pans are provided.  Bring 
your own beach towels and get ready to have fun!  Eat out or stay in 
and whip up a meal. 

Lago Vista has many exciting attractions!  First and foremost is 
Lake Travis.  Multiple boat ramps (both public and private) as well 
as parks provide many options for outdoor fun.  Take advantage of 
the beautiful weather and enjoy one of several golf courses in this 
area.

Our cottage is just a few miles from the Balcones Canyonlands 
National Wildlife Refuge.  The Refuge is intended to preserve the 
endangered Golden-cheeked Warbler, Black-capped Vireo and other 
wildlife species. The Refuge is host to several events each year, 
including the Annual Christmas Bird Count (Jan 4, 2008), Sparrow 
Fest (Feb 2, 2008), the Balcones Songbird Festival (Friday, April 
25 - Monday, April 28, 2008), and the Fall Refuge Week each October. 
Each event has a multitude of family-oriented activies, as well as 
special sessions for the serious birding and outdoor enthusiast!

We are a perfect place to stay in between Dallas and the coast!  
Enjoy a long weekend exploring the Hill Country, shop the boutiques 
in Marble Falls, or hit the sales racks at the new outlet mall in 
Georgetown!
