This Victorian cottage is located in the historic village of 
Welshpool and boasts a spectacular view that looks out over 
beautiful Friar's Bay.  Dave took the pictures on this site during 
our latest visit.   Relax in the solitude and peacefulness of 
the Bay.  Enjoy watching sea life, bald eagles and sweeping tides 
from the waterfront deck. This private retreat has huge maple shade 
trees adorning the large front yard while the back yard opens to a 
huge expance of heart stopping views of sunsets that shrowd Friar's 
Bay.  A perfect location to enjoy Island activities:  walk to the 
Campolello Library and Museaun; take the Deer Island Ferry to see 
the "Old Sow" Whirlpool; hike the many trails in either of the two 
parks on the island; embark on a whale watch boatride from nearby 
dock; play 9 holes of golf at the Herring Cove Golf Course, 
beachcomb at Herring Cove Beach or Upper Duck Pond.    

The air is always clear and clean.  Sleeping at night is quiet and 
heavenly.  The bright and sunny living room has a large bay window, a 
great place to watch TV, play board games or read and relax.  There 
is a private, hot and cold outdoor shower.  You can grill fresh fish 
with propane gas on the large back deck.  Enjoy the amazing lights 
and colors of our Campobello sunsets.  The fog often rolls in right 
over the house.  You'll love dining with a view of Friar's Bay and 
the 2nd largest tide drop in the world (25 feet).  The Bay of Fundy's 
42 foot tide change is only a 1/2 day's drive.  Three of 4 bedrooms 
have waterfront views.  All bedrooms are upstairs.  (Special 
arrangements can be made for a downstairs bedroom setup - please call 
Dave or Lydia a week in advance.  For modern communications we offer 
wireless internet, local phone, cable TV and a 6-disc-CD player.  
Games like crochet, badmitton and board/card games are available for 
all ages.  There is a washer and a dryer for your personal use (we 
are responsible for cleaning linens).  The well water is fresh and 
cold.  Guest often say "it's the hottest AND the coldest water I've 
ever felt".  Sink down into the claw foot tub upstairs or enjoy the  
private outdoor shower.  Everyone raves about the outdoor shower.   
The large, sunny kitchen has a new stove and dishwasher.  Use the 
electric baseboard heat for chilly mornings.  Fans and small, 
portable heaters are there for you comfort also.    

Cross over the Rooselvelt Campobello Memorial Bridge onto the only 
International Park in the world, The Rooselvelt Campobello 
International Park.  The restored Rooselvelt Summer Home is fun for 
young and old and "Tea With Eleanor" is offered 7 days a week during 
the summer season (be sure to get those tickets in advance).  The  
Herring Cove Provential Park and Golf Course has 9 holes.   You will 
tee off on greens that overlook the Atlantic Ocean.  The East Quoddy 
Lighthouse is open to enjoy during the summer season and is a cool 
place to go when the temperature gets over 72 degrees.  The 
Campobello Public Library and Museum is another historic site to 
see.  It is a short walk from the house.  Young and old will enjoy 
bird watching, whale watching, easy hikes and harbors with working 
and sailing boats galore.

$300.00 (US) Damage/Rental Deposit - refundable 3 days after the 
house is cleaned.  
Entire refund returned with 48 hours notice from renter

$150.00 (US) per day - full amount of rental due upon arriving 
$975.00 (US) per week - full amount of rental due upon arriving
$3,700.00 (US) per month - full amount of rental due 7 days before 
arriving.  NOTE:  The deposit for monthly rentals is NON REFUNDABLE.  
Rentals are available from May 1 - November 30 (weather permitting).

We are very interested in "trading places" with other people. We 
have a home on St. George Island, Florida that we can use 
for "trading" also.
