Situated along the coast of the Pagasitic Gulf, 46km from the port 
city of Volos, is the charming and picturesque coastal village of 
Kalamos. It is here that you will find "Margianou Apartments" from 
which we welcome you to Pelion and look forward to offering you a 
wonderful selection of accommodation for your stay here in 
the "Playground of the Gods". 

Kalamos is one of the most beautiful and tranquil of the coastal 
resorts you will find in Pelion. It is an ideal place from which 
visitors can venture out and visit some of the other famous sites of 
the Pelion peninsula. 
The charming "Marginanou Apartments" are located on a beautiful 
hillside, providing some truly inspiring views of the bay of Kalamos 
and out towards the blue waters of the Pagasitic Gulf. Our 
apartments are situated in our two-story traditional building, that 
consists of four separate family apartments. 

Each of the apartments has been nicely decorated, and have been made 
to be as comfortable as possible. The apartments have also been 
carefully furnished, creating a very traditional and cosy 
environment. 

All of the apartments have: Air Condition, TV, Kitchen, 
Refrigerator, Private Bedroom, Fireplace, Private shower / WC and a 
daily maid service. The apartments here at "Margianou" also each 
have a lovely balcony, where you can sit back and enjoy some 
beautiful views of the sea and Kalamos. For those who are seeking a 
peaceful and quiet place for their holidays,our apartments will be 
ideal. With just the sound of the sea and nature, one cannot help 
but to unwind. There are also several beautiful beaches close by 
where you can head to during the summer months. 

Apartments are located on the North-West site of the Pelion 
Peninsula, ten minutes/400m walk from the bay of Kalamos, staring at 
the Pagasitic Gulf. 
The nearest village is Argalasti, which is 6km (10 min) from the 
Apartments. 
The nearest city is Volos, which is 40km (50 min) from Argalasti. 
Volos is the capital city of this region. It was built at the foot 
of the mountain of Pelion, it is 325km (4 hours) from Athens and 
216km (3 hours) from Thessaloniki Airports.

The monks sought a hiding place from the Byzantine raids. They are 
reached by steps carved into the rocks).
