Holmhead cottage is attached to Holmhead Guest house which stands 
 on the foundations of Hadrian's Wall in the World Heritage site 
 is is built with stones taken from the Wall in 1798.
the cottage is all on ground floor and has  its own car parking 
space within the car park of Holmhead Guest House ,Patio doors lead 
to the living room with kitchen area .
 through door to Bathroom which is large and has help bars ,
 2 bedrooms 1 double and 1 twin bedded have views of the ruined 
castle  . there is a privale walled garden .the garden gate leads 
straight onto  the footpaths for the Pennine Way and the Hadrian's 
Wall trail .Holmhead is set back from the main road (which has a bus 
link ) by 1/2 mile . the village of Greenhead, The Roman Army Museum 
and the most spectacular remains of Hadrian's Wall are nearby
