This cottage is in a real 1952 railroad car from the Roscoe,
Snyder & Pacific line in Texas. Located just east of the historic
Mason House Inn, this cottage is private and quiet. Breakfast is
served in the Mason House dining room. Bentonsport is located in
southeast Iowa in the heart of Van Buren County. Just a stone's
throw from the scenic Des Moines River, this cottage is the perfect
place for a couple's get-away-from-it-all.

Kitchen, bathroom with shower, dining area, bedroom with queen sized
bed, satellite TV with DVD player, and wireless internet access,
air-conditioning and heating. The dining area folds down into a bed
for a child or small adult. The entry steps are steep, and not
handicap accessible.

Attractions |
|
Bentonsport is one of the Villages of Van Buren County dating back
to 1836. The village features many of the original brick homes,
many were built by Mormon craftsmen who had left Nauvoo in 1846.
Locally within the county there are hiking trails, lakes, fishing,
biking, Amish buggies, a cheese factory, antiquing, arts and crafts
stores, rose gardens, and a Native American arrowhead museum.

Rates |

The Caboose Cottage rents for $100 (plus 5% tax...NO HOTEL TAX!) per
night, or $500 for a whole week. A Visa or MC credit card number is
required to guarantee the reservation. We have a 72 hour
cancellation policy, or a $25 bookkeeping fee will be incurred.
