Nestled among the laurels on Mount Jefferson, the cabin boasts a
peaceful setting but is just minutes away from West Jefferson and Boone.

Our smoke-free cabin is centrally located near several attractions
including the New River State Park (ten minutes away), Mt. Jefferson
State Park (two minutes), the Appalachian Trail, and the Blue Ridge
Parkway.

Ski several nearby slopes, golf the local links, canoe the rapids, or
hike & bike the back country.  Visit the Bluff Mountain Nature
Preserve, hike the nearby Appalachian Trail, traverse the Virginia
Creeper trail, or check out the New River Zoo.

Take the mountain road behind the cabin into Mount Jefferson State
Park.  You can hike to the summit at approximately 5000 feet, have a
picnic at one the tables provided, and enjoy the views into three
states from one of the overlooks.

On a clear day, you will be able to see Grandfather Mountain and
Virginia's highest peak, Mount Rogers, at 5729 feet.  For those with
more indoor inclinations, tour the Ashe County Cheese Factory, check
out the Churches of the Frescoes, or browse the local downtown art
district in West Jefferson, where you're sure to enjoy strolling the
streets and visiting quaint shops and eateries.

Don't forget the Mountain Music Jamboree every Saturday night, the
"christmas in july" festival, or tour the happenings in Boone, only 25
minutes away.

So much to do, so little time!  Once back at the cabin, you can relax
on comfortable plush sofas and enjoy a quiet evening and a warm fire
in the stacked stone fireplace.

All newly-refinished wood floors give a true mountain home feel. With
