 Our property is located on the beautiful Greek island of Crete in the
south-east Mediterranean. Ideally positioned on a hillside next to
lake Kournas. These traditional stone houses have a view of the
northern coast of the island, overlooking the Aegean Sea. The
surrounding environment is serene and beautiful. Acres of olive trees
and green fields lay a picture perfect location from the lake to the
sea. The towns of Georgioupolis and Kavros are a few minutes away
where you can shop dine or go to the beach and much more. The city of
Rethimnon is 15 minutes away and Chania can be reached within 30
minutes. Along the coast the island has incredible beaches, rest
stops, traditional towns and villages, all of which will make your
activities as diverse as you want them to be. There are numerous
beaches that you can visit and a variety of events and activities.
Sunbathe, swim, spearfish, jet-ski, windsurf, bar hop, party, dine
take a ferry cruise and the list goes on!  When you visit the
different towns and villages, you will enjoy the unique Cretan cuisine
and experience an unforgettable taste. You may also visit locations,
ranging from ancient ports, fortresses of historical importance,
museums that share tales of Greek mythology such as the Minotaur and
King Minos in Knosos. You can hike a mountain, cross the famous Gorge
of Samaria or take a daily excursion on several uninhabited isles.
Even if you just want to stay by the pool to relax and sunbathe all
day, you will be in for an unforgettable holiday!

These traditional homes were originally built around the late
seventeen hundreds and have been fully renovated. The unique Venetian
architecture, thick stone walls, arches and traditional furniture,
provide the guests with a pleasant experience.  We offer several
categories of houses. Each has an extensive list of features to make
our guests feel at home.  The property is fully gated for privacy and
security.There are heating units available for winter stay, wooden
lofts, peach pine kitchen cabinets, elegant bathrooms, handmade
traditional wooden furniture, full kitchen with a stove-range
refrigerator, washing machine, satellite TV, DVD player, multi car
driveway, pool area and much more. 

The outside area has a 2 car driveway, a patio and the swimming pool
area.  The lake is within a short walk from the house and the beach is
just 3 km away.  The coast is visible from the house.  At the lake you
could swim, sunbathe, ride the pedalo, and canoe. There are several
taverns, restaurants, cafe and souvenir stores near the house. The
nearest beach is at Georgioupolis where you could find additional
stores, supermarkets, pharmacies, internet-cafe, 1-hour photo lab and
much more.
