Attractions |
|
Hornby is the most beautiful of all the northern Gulf Islands.
Explore the various beaches.....some have long stretches of golden
sand, some sandstone formations, others pebbles and crashing cliffs.
Helliwell Park is 10 minutes walk along the bluff trail and offers a
place of beauty and diverse fauna and flora. The endangered Garry Oaks
grow here as well as old groath coniferous forrest.
Bald Eagles nest on outcrops all round the island, chattering to each
other or soaring past the window over the ocean.
Collect sand dollars and starfish, share pizza in the Cardboard Bakery
orchard listening to a band, visit the farmers market, shop for local
pottery or art.
Read a good book on the deck or hang out on the beach...
