s.f. of  living area for your large family to vacation in . The 
stone wall fireplace is a great place for the family to gather. The 
kid’s will love the huge recreation room with 32 inch TV, pool 
table, and ping-pong table.  On the outside deck relax in a 
Thermaspa hot tub.  This cabin comes furnished with 4 private 
bedrooms and 3 full baths (2 king beds and 2 double beds in private 
bedrooms, a large recreation room with 2 double sofa sleepers, and 2 
double futons).  Open Year round and minutes away from Cataloochee 
Ski Area, Waynesville Main Street Ghost Town, Tube World, and 
Cherokee Casino.

Picture you and your guests, after a hard day's vacationing -- with 
your cool drink in hand enjoying the scenery while you overlook our 
pond and small creek from the deck or lounge in a rocker listening 
to the natural sounds of country living at its best.

The Walch Log Cabin Pond View Retreat has its own lighted tennis 
court. So bring your rackets and enjoy the mountain air while you 
exercise.   For more family fun, bring your basketball to shoot 
baskets at the freestanding basketball hoop located at the end of 
the tennis court.

Imagine you and your guests in our fun-filled game room with large 
wood burning stove fireplace!  The kid's will love the huge 
recreation room with 32 inch TV, pool table, and ping-pong table.  
Adjacent to the recreation room, is the fourth bedroom with king 
size bed, third bathroom and full laundry facilities. 

Our guests spend much of their time exploring the many splendid 
natural wonders of the area.   This cabin is a great "base camp" for 
your adventures in the mountains of North Carolina.  Check out 
things to see and do in Maggie Valley.
During late September through October,  the leaves change from day 
to day. They change with the decreasing light, humidity and 
temperature. From your base camp,  you can travel up in elevation to 
the Blue Ridge Parkway or down in elevation to see the leaves at
