Cedar Place Cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway, and is a great 
base for hikers, kayakers, canoeists, divers and cyclists and those 
on a budget. The front of this funky cabin, is a covered deck that 
can be enjoyed year round, and is also a great place to store and 
sort bikes & gear out of the weather. 
 

Leaded glass windows, exposed beams & rafters, and a wood stove all 
add to the character of this little cabin. Out the windows, the moss 
covered forest surrounds the cabin, with many natural flora & fauna. 
It was "Home" for us while the main house was crafted and is 
suitable for adults only.

There is always plenty of hot water to soak in the cast iron tub 
while contemplating the wind playing with the leaves in the tree 
tops, through the skylights above. All linens are supplied for your 
convenience. Included is a stereo, tape deck, TV and DVD/CD player, 
with plenty of movies.
 
Like the bath area, the kitchen has plenty of light from the 
skylights above. It is equipped with a fridge, stove, and all the 
basic utensils needed, for you to create your own culinary delights 
during your stay. An outside BBQ is also available. "Pavel" our 
feline friend, will probably drop by to make you feel at home. 

The queen sized loft bed is accessed by a ladder and is a cozy 
sleeping area with the bed right beside the window and a skylight 
overhead.

The cabin is always warm & cozy with both wood & electric heat. It's 
a great space in the off season when its cooler. After a day of 
exploring the trails or paddling around, come home to spend the 
evening curled up by the woodstove. We supply the movies and the 
popcorn.....enjoy!! 

Galiano Island a special place of natural beauty, offering many 
parks and trails for hikers & naturalists to enjoy. A short walk to 
Bluff Park and Matthews Point, brings you to some of the most 
breathtaking panoramic views of the Gulf & San Juan Islands. Only a 
10 minute walk from Cedar Place, hike Mount Galiano, or sit and 
contemplate at the old heritage cemetary at the mouth of the Active 
Pass ferry route, as sea lions frolic at the navigation buoy as 
ferries pass by. 

 Quiet waters and sandstone sculpted shorelines, delight kayakers, 
canoeists and boaters. Wildlife is abundant, sea lions, seals, 
otters, eagles, orca whales and over 130 species of birds make their 
home around Galiano. Over the hill to Montague Harbour & Park, you 
can launch or rent a kayak, canoe, boat or enjoy a sightseeing tour 
or some lunch at the marina. 

A 5 minute drive from Sturdies Bay Ferry terminal, Cedar Place cabin 
is located in the south end of Galiano Island, down the valley 
passed the tree in the middle of the road. This quiet area is the 
gateway to Active Pass Drive, Bluff Park, Matthews Point Park and 
Mount Galianos' nature trails & vistas. Cedar Place is conveniently 
located, only a 15 minute walk to stores, restaurants and the Pub. 
Come relax, discover and enjoy Galiano Island.

If you come as foot passengers, ask about transportation from the 
ferry. It is best to make reservations in advance when travelling by 
car from Tsawwassen to Galiano Island.
