 Description 


A superbly appointed bright and cheerful 1st floor, self-contained, 3 bedroom apartment for up to 8 persons with off-street parking, a sunny west facing balcony and splendid views across London from all bedroom windows. The apartment has a 4 star rating for up to 6 persons but there is sofabed in the sitting room for a 7th person or couple if required Situated in London's leafiest suburb yet just 30 minutes from the heart of the West End is the perfect location for your London visit; 18 minutes walk from Wimbledon Tennis; 12 minutes by tube from Earls Court Exhibition Centre. London is a sprawling city and most Londoners live in the suburbs. To really appreciate our city, you must live like a Londoner - give the expensive central hotels a miss and save money for travel and visits by renting a comfortable flat in one of the many delightful suburban villages that surround the city. Our apartment offers just that. Being close to the Tube with off- street car parking - you can speed in or out of the city. We can arrange for a car to pick you up from the airport - and when you arrive, you will find that the beds are made up and ready for you to fall in to recover from your journey.

There is a spacious sitting room with seating for 10. Facilities include: Wi-Fi Broadband Internet, satellite TV, VCR, DVD player, hifi, 2nd TV in master bedroom, 2 telephones (direct line) with answerphone, hair dryer, tongs and radio alarms (in all bedrooms). The fully equipped kitchen-dining room seats 8 in comfort and has an electric hob, oven. microwave, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, waste disposer, washing machine, pressure cooker, steamer, toaster, coffee machine, "Chef" food mixer and an impressive inventory of crockery, cutlery and utensils, Bedroom 1 has a 4'6" (137cm) double bed, colour TV, telephone/radio- alarm & trouser press; bedrooms 2 has 2 stacked 2' 6" x 6' 3" (76cm x 190cm) single beds (top bed lifts off to make double or twin beds) and Bedroom 3 has 3' x 6' 3" (90cm x 190cm) double bunk beds. All bed linen and towels are provided and a child's cot and highchair are also supplied. There is a garden for guests' use, shops just opposite which will cater for most every day needs and 2 supermarkets within 5 minutes walk open from 7.30am to 10.30pm. Also just opposite is a 24 hour laundry/ironing/dry-cleaning service and "Nutkins", a Montessori day nursery. There is also a bus stop with frequent buses to nearby Putney's mainline and underground stations (1 mile), Wimbledon (2.5 miles) and Richmond (5 miles).



 Attractions 


SHOPPING There is excellent shopping. The local Southfields shops should cater for all your needs. There are 3 banks and 2 well stocked supermarkets are open from 8am to 11pm (Sundays 9.30am to 10.30pm). Neighbouring Wimbledon, Kingston and Richmond all have big department stores and several shopping malls and hypermarkets are within a few minutes bus or tube ride or drive. Always at weekends there are excellent local antique fairs, craft markets and car-boot sales. RESTAURANTS There are excellent local restaurants of many cuisines and take-away meals can be ordered by telephone for delivery to your door. PUBS A short walk to the village locals, nice traditional English pub atmosphere with good (cheap) beer and food. Other good pubs within longer walk or short drive/tube distance, many regularly host jazz, rock or folk groups. WIMBLEDON COMMON ½ mile - Wonderful woodland bordering historic Wimbledon Village. RICHMOND PARK 1½ miles. One of London's great parks. Teeming with deer, popular with model boat, aircraft and kite enthusiasts. Watch a game of polo, go riding, have tea at Pembroke Lodge and visit the beautiful, Isabella Plantation famous for its magnificent Rhododendrons and Azaleas. RIVER THAMES Close by at PUTNEY (1¼ miles, 2 tube stops or short bus ride to Putney Bridge). River boats to CHARING CROSS can be boarded from PUTNEY PIER. Delightful riverside pubs. STATELY HOMES Several Stately homes are within easy reach including:- Hampton Court Palace (9 miles, 27 mins drive, easy access from A3, or 30 mins by train) Ham House (8 miles, easy access through Richmond Park) Clandon Park (25 miles, easy access from A3) Polesden Lacey (18 miles, easy access from A3) Windsor Castle (39 mins by train). THEME PARKS Chessington World of Adventure and Zoo is within 15 mins drive. MUSEUMS London has some of the finest museums in the world - 3 of the best are located in South Kensington (direct trains, 17 mins journey time). SPORTS Plenty of sports facilities close by including golf, riding, boating - and tennis of course! You can watch greyhound and stock car racing at Wimbledon Stadium, horse racing at nearby Epsom, Sandown Park and Kempton Park and, during June/July, there's Wimbledon Tennis. There is also an excellent fitness and health club within easy walking distance with membership available to guests at very reasonable rates.

PRICES PER WEEK Low season (November 1 to March 1): £790 - £850 High season (March 1 to November 1): £850 - £890 Enhanced rate (Wimbledon Fortnight, Xmas/New Year and Easter): £890- £910 Central heating, hot water, electricity included (wifi broadband £2 per day extra) Minimum stay 1 week (unless shorter unoccupied period available) No pets ADDITIONAL RENTAL INFORMATION: Payment accepted by AMEX (+2.5%), Visa and MasterCard. Bookings can start and end on any day (additional days over a week charged pro rata). 10% Non-refundable Deposit on booking. Balance of rental to be paid 6 weeks before arrival date (also not refundable). Rental includes electricity and all taxes. There is a charge for cleaning at end of stay (if required) of £8 per hour; laundry charge (usually approx £6 per person); and telephone calls at cost. Authority required on arrival to debit credit card with one weeks rental for security deposit (not processed). Discounts available depending upon season and length of stay.
