The house is completely furnished with a huge fireplace, air-
conditioning, Stereo, Television, and can accommodate up to 7 
people. The house has two levels. On the ground floor is the Living 
room, the Dining room, and the kitchen, a large dining table which 
sits 12 people, a bed room with on double bed and a dual area 
bathroom. The above level is a large area with two double bunk beds 
and a single bed.

We offer a rich breakfast with milk, tea, Nescafe, French coffee, 
sugar, butter, toast, marmalade, biscuits. You will also find in the 
kitchen all the necessary utilities for cooking for you to make your 
dinners, as well as the basics like oil, salt, pepper, onions, 
garlic, vinegar and oregano. In the garden there is a professional 
electric barbeque with lots of charcoal for those that like to have 
fun cooking outside!

The house is for rent for Weekends, a Week, or a Month. Pricing

The house is in the settlement of "Vounaki" at an altitude of 1100 
meteres, facing the peaks of Helmos very near to the village of 
Zarouchla which is only 10 minutes away by car. The house is only 15 
kilometers from the Snow Resort of Kalabryta with only 4 kilometers 
of dirt road which will be completed this fall. Also the house is 33 
kilometers from the city of Akrata which is near the sea.

The house is built on 3500 sq.m. of land all fenced in and nicely 
taken care of with walnut trees and fir trees, with lots of room for 
kids to play. It has complete autonomy and no annoying disturbances 
from anyone. At night, the first time that you look at the lights 
from the other villages, you will think that you are looking at the 
stars!

You will be impressed by the unique view of the mountain tops of 
Helmos and the road that leads to the Snow Resort of Kalabrita, 
which you can enjoy sitting on the veranda of the house or even from 
the living room from the huge glass windows. Even the local people 
say that "The House in Vounaki" has the most beautiful view of the 
area.

Close to the settlement of Vounaki (10 minutes away by car) is the 
village of Zarouchla which has many restaurants. Right outside of 
the village is the forest of Zarouchla and a passing river, a 
beautiful place to go hiking! It is also worth visiting the lake of 
Tsivlos, the Waters of Stigos, the Fountain of Golfos, and the other 
villages Peristera and Mesorougi.

Deposit of 50% is requested and the remaining amount must be paid on 
arrival date. Also a 25% damage fee is requested which is returned 
on departure is nothing is damaged.

Deposit can be made by PayPal or VISA and the remaining amount must 
be paid in cash on arrival date.

Deposit is not returned if cancelation earlier than 30 days before 
arrival date.

My Chalet, or Mountain House is on 1500 square meters of land in the 
village of Vounaki. It has an amazing view of the mountain Helmos 
which stands tall at a height of 7900 feet. The house is just 22 
miles from Akrata in the Peloponnese. Akrata is only 90 miles from 
the city of Athens by highway. Being a total of 112 miles from the 
city of Athens it takes about an hour and 45 minutes to get there by 
car. The winter Snow Skiing resort is only 15 minutes away from the 
house. The house is completely furnished with a nice big fireplace 
and air-conditioning. All utilities such as refrigerator, kitchen 
stove and washing machine are already installed as well as two water 
heaters. A complete Stereo system exists and a TV with satellite 
reception. Outside the house are a covered wood shed and a big size 
barbeque. A concrete wall with aluminum railings and a main gate 
entrance fence in the whole property. Also very important is that 
one can build on the plot up to 80% of the land. Akrata is the 
nearest village at sea level that is 90 miles from Athens by 
national road highway. The road from Akrata up the mountain to 
Helmos is also paved and is another 22 miles. The village is at an 
elevation of 3600 feet and is part of a cluster of 7 villages that 
are on the plateau. The village, that the house is part of, is 
called Vounaki,which means "small mountain" in Greek. If you are
