thunderstorm watching from our high mesa. We are at 6300 foot
elevation. 10 minute walk down to the Rio Chama River, Snow in winter
for sledding on a long sled run on our 20 acres. Skiing 45 minutes to
1 hour away to 4 resorts.

A charming, comfortable Northern New Mexico Pitched Tin Roof Home that
is tastefully decorated and furnished in a Eclectic Southwest,
Farmhouse style with rustic whitewashed pine wood floors.

Private Casita (The north wing of a larger main home with a separate
private entrance) sits high on a Mesa above the Beautiful Chama River
Valley. It is approximately 900+ sq. ft. with high pitched ceilings.
Living room with comfortable handmade Taos Furniture, Native and Local
Art work, Dining table seats 4-6. 2 Bedrooms, each with sitting areas.

Master Bedroom has a large fireplace with oak, pinon wood and
kindling, Nice new queen size bed. 2nd bedroom has a double size bed,
Both beds have 600 thread count sheets, Down pillows and comforters.
Full bath with Tub/Shower and Organic Bath-Hand soaps, handmade
especially for us!

Nice new Kitchen comes completely stocked with breakfast necessities.
Organic Coffee Beans and Assorted Teas, Organic Half-Half, Organic
Jams-Jellies,Butter-Cream cheese-Green chiles- Bagels, Farm fresh
eggs, Artisan Breads, Pancake Mix and Real Maple Syrup! Cold bottled
waters too! Also stocked with spices, condiments. No need to go out
for breakfast! New gas stove, Full sized Refrigerator
Freezer,Microwave, Washer/Dryer,
Organic laundry and dish soaps.

Complete with bar/cocktail accessories, Wine-champagne-glassware,
Crystal cocktail glasses, Ice bucket, Santa Fe's Eat Me Margarita mix,
Daily Santa Fe New Mexican Newspaper too!

Horse facilities include a Barn, 12 X 12 stall, 30 X 20 paddock and 75
x 100 turnout area with shade tree and fresh water. Next to our 2
horses in their separate corrals. Our horses are not available for
hire, Ghost Ranch and Equine escapes near by, both rent horses.

Well behaved, Clean pet welcome! We provide nice pet bowls too. We ask
that you take your pet with you during your outings.

PETS: Pets are permitted in rental home only with prior approval. 

The Abiquiu area is rich of impressive sandstone and rock formations
in both the surrounding national forests (Santa Fe and Carson). Riding
trails are abundant. Hikers find their own way into deep canyons or up
imposing mesas, through winding arroyos, even to small, creek-fed
waterfalls. Ghost Ranchs colorful formations are nearby. You will
have a hard time breaking away from this area for an (also pleasant)
daytrip to Taos, Chama or Chaco Canyon. Geogia O'Keeffe's house is 3
miles away and 20 minutes to the Ghost Ranch.

KID FRIENDLY! Kids will enjoy getting to know our 2 Horses, Sorry they
are not available for riding, Our 2 little Jack Russell Terrier's
(They keep a low profile, unless you request, they come out to play!)
and all the lizards, birds, jack rabbits, cottontails, hummingbirds
that all eat/drink outside and inside our front walled courtyard. Lots
of ravines, canyons, rocks, arroyos to explore on our 20 acres. Walk
to river across the road, Hear the coyotes at
night. Miles and miles of hiking trails on and around property.

$125 night (2 people) 2 night minimum. $145 night, if booked for only
1 night.
$750 Per Week. Book 7 Nights, Pay for 6 nights-  3 night minimum Holidays.

50% of rate due at booking-balance due 30 days prior to arrival.
Full payment due if booked within 30 days of arrival.$10 each per night

Will exchange either our Casita mentioned or our full time residence
next door or both at same time for locations in San Francisco,
NYC-Manhattan.  Hopefully pet friendly people to feed our Horses, Dogs
and cats in exchange for us taking care of yours. No vehicle exchange
sorry.
