Description
|
|
Three-season cottage, April through November. Two bedrooms plus loft.
Full kitchen, indluding dishwasher. Cozy even in cool
weather--winterized, with gas fireplace.
The cottage is up a short wooded hill from the lake frontage, but
there's a nice view of the lake from the deck. The lake is good for
swimming and fishing, and we provide a canoe for your use.
One attraction of this location is that it's just a very short drive
to Burlington--about as close as you can get to the city and still be
in rural Vermont.
We provide all sheets and towels, dishes, cookware, etc. We even stock
the refrigerator with various food appropriate for breakfasts, so the
experience is almost like an unhosted bed-and-breakfast. We try to
make sure you won't have to go shopping for supplies right after arrival!
The cottage has a TV with decent antenna, but no cable. We provide a DVD.
The lake frontage is a safe place to swim--starting about chest-high
for a toddler and deepening fairly gradually. The lake bottom is
stony, not mushy. Fishing is quite good--with smallmouth bass and
occasional northern pike, as well as the usual perch and panfish.

We prefer to take reservations by the week, Sunday to Sunday. The rate
is $600 for summer and other peak weeks (holidays, graduation weeks,
foliage season, etc.) and $575 at other times.
Shorter stays are possible during slower periods of spring and fall,
or if availabilities come up at the last minute. Depending on the time

after that is $90 to $100.
All rates are subject to Vermont's 9 percent rooms tax. Reservations
