eight soft and hard tennis court for guests. You are only a five 
minute walk away, through the lush green belts of the resort, from 
the 
Poipu and Shipwreck beaches and The Poipu Bay golf course, home of 
the 
PGA Grand Slam.

The resort has 24 hour security for your peace of mind.

Dining and Family Rooms:

Large picture windows on all three sides offer majestic views of the 
mountains, rainbows, and coconuts swaying in the trade winds The 
large 
open living room area of ~1000 square feet easily accommodates large 
families in comfort. The family room features cable TV, DVD, VCR and 
stereo radio.

Between the spectacular views, beautiful sunrises, rainbows, large 
lanai, comfortable furnishings and tropical garden, you may not want 
to go home from this first class vacation home.

The Bird of Paradise has two master bedroom suites and two other 
bedrooms.  The King master suite is in the main house and another 
Bungalow suite is detached from the main house.

Master Suite :

Large master bedroom features a King Size bed, liquid crystal TV, 
DVD 
player, two walk in closets, teak furniture and its own bathroom 
with 
dual sinks.

Bungalow Suite:

This bedroom suite is detached from the main house on the lanai has 
its own separate entrance and features a queen bed, its own 
bathroom, 
a kitchenette, and great views of the mountains and the coconut 
trees.
 

First Floor Bedroom: 

This bedroom has a queen bed, a picture window looking out into the 
garden and the mountains and has ample storage. It shares a first 
floor bathroom with the second bedroom on the first floor.

First Floor bedroom, Surf's Up Room:

This bedroom features two twin beds which can be joined to give a 
king 
bed. This bedroom too has a large walk in closet, decorated with 
surfing artifacts.

Privacy:

None of the four bedrooms share a wall with or is on top of another 
bedroom. Each bedroom can be entered from a separate entrance 
without 
going through the living areas.

Kitchen:

Located on the second floor the kitchen is a continuation of the 
living and dining rooms and is equipped with all the modern 
conveniences and Koa cabinets.

Premium Gas Grill:

The large wraparound second floor lanai invites you to relax and 
enjoy 
the panoramic views. There is ample space for sun tanning, reading a 
good book, play games, meditate or eating out doors. A large gas 
grill, also on the lanai, makes cooking a breeze.

The Bird of Paradise Home is midway between Shipwreck Beach, 
Brennecke's beach and Poipu Beach Park. Poipu Beach Park, rated the 
best beach in the USA, is adjacent to the Brennecke's Beach is great 
for snorkeling, protected swimming, and has a swim and snorkel area 
for children as well as a playground. It is not unusual to see an 
endangered monk seal enjoying the beach among the sun tanners.
Local's favorite, beautiful and uncrowded Mahaulepu Beach, is three 
miles away.

 

Golf:
The Bird of Paradise Home is in the middle of world-class golf 
courses, The PGA Grand Slam course, Poipu Bay Golf, is within 
walking 
distance, Trent Jones designed Kiahuna Golf Course is a mile away 
and 
the Kalaheo Golf course with its heavenly views (even if you do not 
play golf just the views are worth a visit) and amazingly cheap 
rates 
is a ten minutes drive away. The Kukui Grove golf course and The 
Lagoons golf courses are in Lihue ~ 20 min drive and if you want 
more 
variety there is The Wailua Municipal golf course (very cheap) and 
the 
Princeville golf courses all of which are rated among the best in 
the 
USA.

Kauai Restaurants and Shopping of all kinds are within a two miles 
radius.

Other Attractions and Activities: Spouting Horn and National 
Botanical 
Gardens, site of the old Fantasy Island show are three miles away. 
Koloa Landing, the launching area for scuba divers going to Sheraton 
Caves, is on the way to the Spouting Horn. Horseback Riding stables 
are a mile away on the road to Mahaulepu Beach just past Poipu Bay 
Golf Course; plus a whole host of Kauai Activities are available on 
the island.

The rates are for up to 6 guests. Add additional of $15/person per 
night for additional guest.  Please add 11.42% Hawaii state; $350 
standard out-cleaning fee. 

A $500 security deposit is required to hold the reservation.

Credit card via Paypal is accepted. Full payment is due 45 days 
prior 
to arrival. Minimum 5 nights booking and 10 nights over Christmas 
unless the calendar allows.
