birch trees our rental is accessed by the camp road directly behind 
the cottage. Lake views from every room this contemporary cottage has 
a full front deck and enclosed screen porch overlooking the 
lake.Queen bedroom and 1.5 bath on first floor with open dining and 
living room. Sliders across the front allow for open viewing of the 
lake. Second floor has a bunk and master bedroom with a small deck 
off the bunk room. Full bath just off the bedrooms. Cottage interior 
is a combination of pine and sheetrock with carpeted floors. This is 
a 4 seasons cottage, fully insulated with heat. Kitchen is small and 
dish washing is done the old fashion way. Microwave,coffee pot and 
usual kitchen utensils are available. A 30' dock and raft at the 
waterfront is perfect for sunbathing and boat tieup. Nature abounds 
with all types of waterfowl around the lake.

Bring your boat and launch at the town landing/beach only 3 minutes 
from the cottage. Indian Lake is a very quiet area and weekdays you 
can almost feel alone in the area with the soothing sound of the 
loons. Town beach is usually quiet if you want a change from our 
private waterfront. Golf is available in Pittsfield ( 15 minute 
drive). The camp road only serves a couple of cottages and is great 
for short walks. Indian lake tends to stay warmer than most Maine 
lakes and is great for swimming, fishing and most other water sports. 
Around town you will find antique shops and country auctions, On 
weekends yard sales seem to run into one another. Only 15 minutes 
away Newport has the usual activities of a small town. You will find 
Macdonalds, Super Walmart, grocery,hardware stores and many other 
stores to serve your needs.  Saint Albans has a general store, 
service station, restaurant,and hardware store. In conclusion we are 
located in a very quiet natural setting yet only minutes from 
shopping that should satisfied all your requirements

Northern Maine has many lakes and hiking trails. The unspoiled 
natural settings are a great change from city living and you will 
find all outdoor activities within short distances from our cottage. 
We are not in a tourist setting and you would have to travel to the 
east coast if that is the type of vacation you require. We enjoy 
Indian Lake for the peace and quiet. If you are looking for 
relaxation and a restful vacation this is the perfect place to spend 
quality time recharging from the rat race. Pull 
up a chair, kick off your shoes, read a good book or oil up your 
fishing reel and enjoy our cottage and relax the way Maine vacations 
should be.

a week. Security is required and balance is due 6 weeks prior to 
rental. Refunds are only allowed if I am able to rent the week and 
sub letting is not allowed. A cottage agreement will be mailed at 
your request and you should email or call to confirm your intentions 
as we have many requests for summer weeks. 

We have listed for sale the adjacent lots to this property. Approx 5 
+ - ac with 50' frontage on the lake. Property includes a boat house 
on the 50' lot and a 2 story unfinished cottage on the upper lot. One 
septic system installed with approval for a second and we had a 1200 
sq ft bunk house approval on the waterfront lot. Electric utilities 
abut both lots and there is enough room for a third building with 
water views. Boat landing and town beach is a short walk from the
