 Description 


The residence is situated in the center of thel traditional village of Loutra in the municipality of Arkadi/Rethymnon. During the Venetian rule over Crete this village was owned by the aristocrat Mattheos Kallergis. Much of this atmosphere has been preserved, like picturesque narrow streets, arcades, a fountain with an Arab inscription and more. The village is situated in 12 km distance to Rethymnon and about 3 km to the sea and is surrounded by olive groves. In from of the villa there is a swimming pool. On the ground floor the living room with open fireplace, dining room, kitchen,telefon (coins), a grand piano and a bathroom with bathtub and washing machine. There is also an separate one-room studio , a double bed, kitchen corner and private bathroom with bathtub on the ground floor. Also on the ground floor there is a separate 2-room flat with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen corner and a private bathroom with shower/WC. One bedroom has a double bed, the other two single beds. On the first floor there are 4 separate flats. They have a common terrace with a wonderful view at the surrounding hills with their olive groves. The first flat provides a view from its 3 windows. There are two single metal beds, a kitchen corner and a WC. A wooden staircase leads to the attic where there are two single beds for children. The second flat consists of two rooms, one room on the first floor and another one on the second floor. The area on the first floor consists of a living room with kitchen corner, a dining room and a private bathroom with bathtub. An internal staircase leads to the next floor. The bedroom there has a double bed, a single bed and TV. The third flat consists of 2 rooms, a little kitchen and a private bathroom with bathtub. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th flat use the large sun terrace with tables and chairs common. The fourth flat has two rooms, one living room with sofa, table, chairs, kitchen corner and a bedroom with a double bed. There is also a private bathroom. All the bedrooms have AIRCONDITION WHICH IS INCLUDED IN THE RATE ! NEW !! For a large group of guests its now possible, to have your own cook,of course at extra charge !



 Amenities 


Both houses together are suitable for a GROUP of in total 22 –25guests This house is a recently built modern 2-storey house, suitable for up to 8 people, situated within the atmospheric old village of Loutra, 12 km from Rethymnon. The detached four bedroom villa with its pretty little front gardens and small swimming pool (25sqm) On the ground floor there is a spacious living/dining room with a fireplace and fully equipped kitchenette with a washing machine and a dishwasher. Also on the ground floor there is a twin bedroom with en suite shower/WC, and a separate bathroom with bath tub/shower fitment/WC. French windows open onto a veranda with views of the garden. The swimming pool with its small paved sun terraces sits within the front gardens and close by there is a BBQ and patio furniture set under a pergola. An interior staircase leads to the upper floor, where there are three further bedrooms plus a lobby area with a little kitchenette. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and en-suite shower/WC, the other two have twin beds and share a bathroom with bath tub/shower fitment/WC. All of the bedrooms have air conditioning (at an extra local charge) and each has access to a veranda or a balcony with views over the village, the surrounding countryside and across to the sea in the distance. For guests use there is a small gym and Jacuzzi in the basement of the house. The nearest beach is approx 4 km away. There are a few mini markets and tavernas within walking distance in the village. We consider car hire to be essential.

ARRIVAL TIMES in the accommodation are according the rules of tourism: arrival in the unit from 4.00 PM,departure until 12.00 AM. If this makes sometimes problems with your personal arrival time on Crete, we advice, to book according this times 1 or 2 days more !!! Rates you got are valid according the total requested number of days, type of unit offered and the number of guests you gave us, including linen, towels, water, electricity and cleaning services.
