Situated 35 minutes from Yarmouth, the port of arrival of the Bar 
Harbour and Portland Maine ferry on Nova Scotia's South Shore, this 
circa 1875 country home is located in the quaint Acadian village of 
Lower East Pubnico. This ocean view home is in a great location for 
exploring the South Shore or simply for relaxing in the yard on the 
Adirondack chairs, experiencing the sea breezes and the sparkling 
waters of Pubnico Harbor.From mid-September to mid-October there is 
beautiful fall foilage along the South Shore, and the days remain 
sunny and warm. Overlooking the harbor and the West Pubnico marina, 
at the front of the house, and a meadow grassland from the back, 
this 3-bedroom house has 2-baths, one on the main floor and one 
upstairs. 
The main floor consists of a fully equipped kitchen, completely 
renovated in 2005; a great room with a wood stove; dining room with 
seating for 8; center hallway; front room from which to watch the 
beautiful sunsets over the harbor; a bedroom and a bath. The 
upstairs consists of 2-bedrooms; a full bath; and a study/den with 
sofa bed. 

The water view of the harbor can be seen from all rooms in the 
house. The home is tastefully decorated with some antiques, quilts, 
hand-braided and hand-hooked rugs. Both bathrooms have claw-foot 
tubs. Most of the floors are the original wide pine boards. This 
house is 100 yards from and overlooking Pubnico Harbor. There is a 
walking trail along the harbor's edge. Fishing boats are often seen 
plying the harbor waters.

The authentic fishing village of Pubnico has an 18-hole golf course, 
restaurants, drug store, gas station, doctors' offices, grocery 
stores, liquor store, banks museum, historical village, lighthouse, 
large old churches, library with free Internet access, several 
wharfs with many fishing boats.

Six pristine, uncrowded, white-sand 
beaches are 25 minutes away. This location is a photographers' 
paradise. It is ideal and peaceful for writers, artists, historians, 
bird-watchers, beach combers and hikers . Pubnico is the oldest 
region still Acadian.

Rentals are $900.00 CAD weekly, Sunday to Sunday,
Refundable security deposit is required.
