Description
|
|
Private ranch rentals such as these are a rare find!
Enjoy spectacular views and complete privacy from this
beautifully decorated historic log home. Unobstructed panoramic
views of the Ruby, Tobacco Root, and Pioneer Mountains. This 4BD/5BA
home has been completely remodeled, yet it retains its unique
western style. This two level home has 4 bedrooms and 4 baths on the
upper level, and the kitchen, living room, dining room, and a fifth
bathroom on the lower level.
Custom-made lodge pole pine furniture & fun western antiques fill
the house.
Bird Watching is a favorite pastime on Big Trout Ranch.
Guests have the opportunity to view a wide variety of birds in a
natural and undisturbed setting. Over a 100 species have been
observed on the ranch. Expect to see Sandhill Cranes, Bald Eagles,
Great Horned Owls, and Rough Legged Hawks nesting on the property in
the spring. The annual mating ritual of the Sandhills is a sight to
behold. Summer guests experience a rare treat-the annual "flight
training" of the baby Great Horned Owls. Fall guests witness the
mustering of the Sandhills, and the annual migration of birds.
Private flyfishing waters are almost limitless on this Southwest
Montana flyfishing ranch. Choose from more than a mile of
Beaverhead River frontage, more than 2 miles of private spring
creek, and 2 ponds loaded with trout. Guests of the ranch also have
access to the world famous Ruby, Big Hole, Jefferson and Madison
Rivers. In addition to world class fishing, the ranch also offers
bow hunting for trophy Whitetail deer.

Home Exchange |
|
We would be most interested in using an exchange during our winter
months here in Montana-i.e. November-March. However, the exchange
does not need to be simultaneous. We have three options to choose
from on our ranch-a one room log cabin (this listing), a 4 bedroom
log home (Big Brown), and a 5 bedroom home (Kamloops). The best
months for someone to come here would be April, May, or October, but
inquire because other time frames might also be available.
