These cabins began life as a turkey barn located at the northern rural 
edge of Española. Artist, Jan Hart architecturally transformed the 
building into two 4-room cabins with a shared laundry. The location of 
Ranchito San Pedro is perfect - just 18 miles north of Santa Fe and 
offers everything you need while you explore, paint, photograph, golf 
just down the road 1/2 mile, hike and experience the magic that is New 
Mexico. Set back along a one lane road lined with ancient cottonwood 
trees, the cabins are very private and quiet. This is high desert 
country - the Rio Grande Valley surrounded by mountains and 1 mile 
from Española, long valued for its cross roads location in the heart 
of northern New Mexico. Each 4 room cabin contains a kitchen/living 
area, a bedroom, a full bath and an extra room that can be a bedroom 
or a studio. Each cabin has a private outdoor area plus a fenced yard 
for your dog! Dogs are especially welcome and encouraged.

Each cabin is fully and lovingly equipped so that you need bring only 
yourself and personal items. The full kitchen contains oven, stove, 
refrig, microwave oven, electric or hot press coffee pot & coffee, 
toaster & all utensils needed.

Both cabins have a bed and two other futon/couches that can be made 
into full sized beds. The bedroom of cabin #1 contains a double bed; 
Cabin #2 a queen bed. All linens provided.

Both cabins contain full bathrooms with showers and linens.

Sheltered, outdoor areas have table, bar be que and chairs.

The lands surrounding the cabins include farmland, orchards, artists' 
studios, Sangre de Cristo & jemez mountains and the traditional New 
Mexico way of life.

 

Ranchito San Pedro is the perfect location - surrounded in all 
directions within 45 min. to all the major cultural and recreational 
attractions of northern New Mexico. These include Santa Fe, Taos, 
Chimayo, Abiquiu (Georgia O'Keeffe's home and landscapes), Ghost Ranch, 
Los Alamos, Bandelier National Park, Ojo Caliente Hot springs 4 golf 
courses (including Black Mesa Golf Course 1/2 mile away - ranked one of 
best in U.S.), 5 Indian pueblos, 3 ski areas and the best food 
available!

Each cabin contains a notebook with valuable information for all 
recreations and dining.

2006 rates for 2 people and 1 dog:
   3 nights (minimum stay): $289 plus tax
   1 week: $565 plus tax
   2 weeks: $965 plus tax
   3 weeks: $1325 plus tax
Extra people and/or dog - $10/night

Registration requires a deposit of 1/2 the rate plus tax and $75 
cleaning deposit, which is fully refundable if you leave the cabin as 
you found it.

less than 30 days.
