Located on an island in Lake champlain the options are many. Apple 
orchards with petting zoo, vineyards with wine tastings  and 
concerts are within 1-2 miles.  Great bicyle riding paths including 
one that goes right out into the lake on a former railroad bed.  
There is summer ferry service for bikes on weekends so you can ride 
18 miles right into Burlington Hiking, antiquing, shopping, 
windsurfing boat rentals.  Montreal is 70 minutes, Lake Placid New 
York is 40 minutes (site of 2 winter  olympics)  State Park with 
warm sandy beach 3 miles away.  Town beach 500 yards away
