Are you looking for a unique escape, a romantic getaway for 2, or just a
little peace and tranquility? Black Bear Retreat is a Diamond in the
Rough. This is not your standard Tahoe cabin! Nestled between the
Tahoe Keys and Emerald Bay Road, in an area called Tahoe Island
Park, on a quiet one lane street, you will have extremely easy access
to HWY 50 and HWY 89 while you feel as if you were miles and miles
away.

This remodeled pine cabin greets its guests with a tall, open beam
ceilings and an old fashioned wood burning stove which compliments its
rustic charm and mountain decor. After pulling up to the cabin, and park
at the garage, a covered pathway leads you around the garage, through
a front courtyard and to the front door. Behind you is the 1 car garage,
and a 2nd story loft above, with a private stair case entry. To the
left of
you is a free standing, secure storage locker, perfect for your ski
equipment, or extra luggage. Further to the left is the entrance to a
large, fenced backyard, perfect for morning coffee or a backyard BBQ,
and attached to the home with a private entry is a laundry room. As you
walk through the front door of Black Bear Retreat, a sun filled dining
area with a new oak dining set greets you at your left while a cozy,
inviting living room opens up to the right. The Living room features
vaulted open beam ceilings, a ceiling fan, a wood burning stove, stereo
system, TV, DVD player, and a comfortable futon which pulls out into a
twin bed. The warm mountain charm makes this a perfect room for
relaxing after a long day under the sun or out in the snow. Adjoining the
dining area is the kitchen, stocked with all the amenities of home
including glassware, silverware, pots, pans and more. Kitchen is
equipped with a frigate/freezer, microwave, a double sink with disposal,
and extra cabinets and pantry space. Down the hallway you will find a
charming master bedroom housing a queen bed for 2, which features
sliding doors that open to the back yard. The bathroom is equipped with
a porcelain tub and shower, and is stocked with towels and
complimentary bathroom products for it's guests to use. Across the
front courtyard, above the garage you will find a loft to use however you
please. The loft is not heated, however makes a wonderful lounging
area, fort or play area for older children. We provide complimentary
coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, paper products, shampoo, conditioner
