 •All the ski resorts are within a short driving distance.
The location of our Donner Lake vacation rental is at the center of the 
north Lake Tahoe Ski resorts. Check the map on the "LOCATION" link of 
owner's personal web site that shows the ski areas around the 
home and you can see 
how close they are.
 •The highest lift at Sugar Bowl is the Lincoln Lift and that can be 
seen from the deck of the Donner Lake cabin rental. The Sugar Bowl white 
bus goes by the house and brings skiers to the Judah lodge at the ski 
resort. The pick up place is close by. We have had them drop us off in 
front of the house on the return. 
 •Recreational activity ideeas for the area include downhill-alpine 
skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, sleigh rides, snow mobile tours, 
snowshoeing, cross country skiing and skating, tobagganing, sledding, 
snowmobiling and back country skiing.  
 •There are outfitters, rental stores and guides nearby.
 •Donner State Park is one half block from the house. You can walk from 
the house to the park for snowshoeing and cross country skiing.
 •Toboggans and snow saucers can be used on the slight slope in the back 
yard.
 •When our children were young we made snowmen and igloos on the deck 
and in the yard. There are nearby ski resorts that have snow play areas 
and the ski resorts have snow school for small children.
